Adi Shankaracharya was reportedly eight years old when a wandering ascetic asked him who he was. The Nirvana Shatakam is the answer he gave — six verses of stripping away everything you are not, until only awareness is left standing.
The verse sits small on the chest under the trishul mark. The back carries Shiva mid-Tandava in black on heather grey, so the print reads like it was brushed straight onto the cloth.
